The Netanyahu’s
A few years ago, during the late stages of the coronavirus pandemic and the protests in front of the Israeli king’s residence, I felt that I too needed to contribute my part to the struggle. I support protests, but I didn’t really connect with the idea of attending them, so I started thinking about how I could use my skills to still do something useful.
There were too many scandals surrounding the Israeli royal family – the champagnes, the cigars, the takeaway containers, the cleaners, the gifts, the crown prince spending time on Twitter, and more… and I began to wonder and imagine what the hell all this looked like from the inside?!
So, I started turning the images I had in my head into a videoboard composed entirely of pictures and shared it with a close friend who is a producer and also a protest activist. We began to turn the dream into reality.
The response was surprising. With the help of the videoboard that illustrated the idea, we assembled a production team of amazing professionals who were excited about the concept and agreed to take part in the project on a completely voluntary basis. I wrote the script, directed, edited, and did some after-effects work, and soon enough, we had a campaign that went quite viral.
